Shout out to the Westminster Expanded Learning Team (CA) for intentionally and creatively integrating Thrively into their daily programming. Frontline staff are actively bringing Thrively’s Core 4 learning conditions to life Strengths, Well-Being, Hope, and Connections by embedding them into routines, student recognition, and the physical learning environment. Across their programs, the team has made strengths visible through engaging initiatives such as strengths-themed bulletin boards, a Thrively room decoration contest, “Thrively Student of the Month” certificates, and information boards that help families understand the impact of strengths-based learning.
A special recognition goes to Mr. Ryan Nguyen and his team at the Fryberger Boys and Girls Club ASES afterschool program. As a dedicated Thrively Champion, Ryan has led his team to remarkable progress they are currently just 1% away from reaching 100% Strengths Assessment completion. Their commitment reflects how Expanded Learning programs can create powerful environments where students feel seen, supported, and empowered to thrive both during and beyond the school day.
Alison Gryder is leading a transformative journey in her 4th grade gifted classroom in Fort Concho iUniversity, San Angelo ISD, TX. She focuses on a whole child approach to learning. By leveraging Thrively’s insights on her students’ strengths, learning styles, and habits, Alison is creating a classroom environment. This environment celebrates each child’s unique potential. As Alison shares, “We are also researching the STRENGTHS so they can truly meta-cognate and explain what they’ve learned about themselves.”
Recently, Alison transformed her classroom into a lively café where her students created posters capturing their whole-child journey. These vibrant displays reflect not only their strengths but also their evolving self-awareness—a skill that extends far beyond the classroom. By embracing a whole-child approach, Alison is empowering her students with confidence. She helps them gain self-understanding. Alison provides them with a sense of purpose that will guide them throughout their lives.
In Alison’s words: “THIS is making a difference in their hearts and minds, and I love seeing it all unfold!”

It’s inspiring to see everyone embracing their unique talents and working together to create an even stronger school community. Here’s to unlocking potential and celebrating what makes each of us shine! Keep up the fantastic work!
Teach Elementary has seamlessly integrated Thrively into their school culture. They place a strong emphasis on a strength-based approach to learning. They also focus on emotional well-being. Nearly all students and staff have completed the Thrively Strengths Assessment, identifying their unique talents and abilities. This shared understanding promotes personal growth and fosters a sense of belonging across the school community.
Each week, the school engages in well-being check-ins on Wednesdays, offering time for reflection and connection. These regular moments help students and staff remain aware of their emotional health. They ensure a supportive environment that prioritizes well-being. These practices cultivate a safe space where everyone can thrive socially and emotionally.
Teach Elementary has also made Thrively’s influence visible throughout the school by displaying students’ strengths prominently in classrooms and hallways. “What’s Strong with You?” posters, as well as “What’s Strong with Us?” collaborative displays, highlight individual and collective strengths, reinforcing a positive narrative throughout the day. These visuals serve as daily reminders of the school’s commitment to valuing each student’s abilities.
The intentional use of Thrively reflects Teach Elementary’s dedication to empowering both students and staff. The school celebrates strengths and routinely includes emotional check-ins. This strength-based approach has cultivated a vibrant culture where everyone is seen, valued, and encouraged to develop their potential.
